01 Adding or removing a card

Tap the plus button on Home and choose Add Card, then pick your card from the catalogue or enter it manually. Perkfolio Free tracks up to 3 cards; Perkfolio Pro removes that limit.

To remove one, go to Account › Manage Cards, open the card, and choose Delete Card. Archiving a card instead keeps its details and history and only hides it from Home. An archived card still uses one of your 3 free slots, so deleting is what frees a slot up.

02 Logging a purchase or payment

Tap the plus button on Home and choose Log Purchase or Log Payment, or open a card and log it from there.

Perkfolio records what you enter. It does not move money, contact your bank, or pay a card for you: logging a payment tells Perkfolio about a payment you already made somewhere else.

03 Credit limit and available credit

Your credit limit is the figure you entered for that card. Perkfolio never reads it from your bank.

Available credit is your limit minus what Perkfolio currently has as your balance, and the balance is worked out from your card's starting balance plus every purchase and payment you have logged since. It is only as accurate as what you have entered. If a card has no credit limit, Perkfolio leaves available credit blank rather than showing zero, because those are different things.

04 How Promos work

Promos are card offers Perkfolio keeps in its own catalogue. They are not read from your bank, and Perkfolio does not register, apply, or redeem anything for you: the tab is for finding an offer so you can use it yourself.

For you narrows the list to offers from the banks whose cards are in your wallet; All promos shows everything Perkfolio has. Tap the bookmark on any promo to keep it in Saved. Always check the offer's own terms with the issuer before relying on it.

05 Where your data is kept

On your iPhone. Perkfolio has no accounts and never asks for your full card number, CVV, PIN, or online banking login; it has no way to sign in to your bank.

Your cards, their figures, the purchases and payments you log, your saved promos and your settings are stored on the device. With Perkfolio Pro and iCloud on, Perkfolio also backs them up to your own private iCloud, which only your Apple ID can read. Perkfolio itself never receives them. Read more in the Privacy Policy.

06 Moving to a new iPhone

Sign in to the same Apple ID and turn on iCloud. When you open Perkfolio on the new iPhone, it offers to restore your latest backup. You can also go to Account › iCloud Backup › Restore from iCloud at any time.

Backing up is part of Perkfolio Pro: it happens automatically whenever you leave the app, and you can tap Back Up Now on the same screen. Restoring a backup you already have is free.

07 Managing Perkfolio Pro

Go to Account › Manage Subscription. That opens Apple's own subscription sheet inside Perkfolio, where you can change your plan or cancel. You can also cancel in the Settings app › your name › Subscriptions; cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to stop the next renewal.

If you have bought Pro before and this iPhone doesn't know it (a new phone, or a reinstall), tap Upgrade to Perkfolio Pro and then Restore Purchases. No account is needed: Pro belongs to your Apple ID.

Perkfolio Pro is billed by the App Store, not by Perkfolio. Cancelling leaves Pro active until the end of the period you have paid for, and cards you have already added are never removed if a subscription ends. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

08 Deleting your data

Go to Account › Privacy & Data › Erase All Perkfolio Data. This permanently erases your cards, transactions, payments, saved promos and settings from your iPhone, and your Perkfolio backup from iCloud. It cannot be undone.

Erasing your data, or deleting the app, does not cancel a Perkfolio Pro subscription: Apple bills that to your Apple ID.
